Board of Directors
The Board comprises a President, Vice President, Treasurer and a maximum of up to seven other directors, with one third of the board retiring each year. Board meetings are held at least four times a year.
Richard Hogan, President
Richard Hogan is the Owner and Director of Duomo Fine Florentine Stationery and has been working in the gift and homewares industry for over 7 years. Prior to purchasing Duomo with his partner Tom in January 2009, Richard worked in the retail industry managing a family bookshop for over 15 years.
Mike Warner, Vice-President
Mike Warner is the Managing Director of Keldan International. Since its establishment in 1999, Keldan International has grown into a market leader exporting wildlife themed gifts to Europe, Asia, North and South America and New Zealand.
Tim Gillespie, Treasurer
Tim Gillespie is the Managing Director of homewares brand Ashdene, which exports to over 25 countries across the globe. Tim has extensive experience in designing homewares ranges and commissioning their bespoke manufacture, contributing to the industry for 26 years.
Bruce McGrath, Director
Bruce McGrath has managed Timepieces Australia since its inception 14 years ago. Several distribution arrangements were negotiated with leading brands over this time, and four years ago they were appointed the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor for USA company, Uttermost. Uttermost specialises in high quality designer accent furniture, art, mirrors, lamps and fixed lighting, clocks and accessories.
Claudine Zuker, Director
Claudine Zuker is the Owner of plate display specialists Safe ‘N Sure and is also the Co-Founder of book importer and distributor, Beaglier Books. With a long history in the gift industry, Claudine travels extensively to find new and unique products.
Julia Longmuir, Director
Julia Longmuir is the owner of Alfresco Gardenware, a business she founded in 2005 and has been a member of AGHA for around 10 years. She has a background in marketing (tertiary qualifications) and having worked in both services and product businesses prior to starting her own. She is a first generation Australian, mother of 3 and is a keen walker, camper, cook and loves nature and sport.
Kevin Porter, Director
Kevin Porter is Sole Director of RAYELL, a wholesale home and giftware brand based in Brisbane. Rayell has been an exhibiting member of the AGHA for nearly 20 years. In the past 5 years Rayell has embarked on a strong growth phase delivering a fast-growing product range and expanding into multiple markets.
Nigel Kirby, Director
Science and Nature is a small family enterprise which manufactures and distributes educational toys and souvenir products throughout Australia and New Zealand, the UK and Europe. Nigel has served on the board since 2009 including 4 years as President and 2 years in the role of Treasurer.
Patricia Guest, Director
Patricia Guest is the founding Director of Madras Link, an import and wholesale business supplying a wide range of home textiles, accessories and gifts to the Australian and New Zealand market. Working in the industry for 29 years, of Pat has a strong interest in the challenges and opportunities the evolving industry presents.
Rowen Bavinton, Director
Rowen Bavinton is the Sole Director at Boyle Industries Pty Ltd. Since beginning his career in the retail industry in the 1980’s, Rowen has gained extensive experience in all aspects of the retail and wholesale industry. Boyle Industries exhibited at the very first AGHA Gift Fair and has exhibited at every one since.
